Immer früher setzen die Berater des Jugendamtes an, wenn es um die Aufklärung zur Sucht Vorbeugung geht. Am 23.10.2007 diskutierte die Referentin Frau Witt vom Kreisjugendamt, im Kindergarten Störmede, mit Eltern die Fragen was unterscheidet die Sucht von der Gewohnheit und ab wann ist sie schädlich? Sie erklärte die Mechanismen, die zur Sucht führen können und wie man sie erkennt. So durchlebt ein Erwachsener die Stadien bis zur Alkoholabhängigkeit in 4 Jahren. Bei einem 10-jährigen Kind dauert dies nur 2 Jahre. Zählen die Diätwünsche der Grundschülerin zur Sucht oder der regelmäßige Trickfilm vor der Schule?
Auf diese und andere Fragen gab es im Prinzip eine klare Antwort: Wenn man mit einer Gewohnheit nicht aufhören kann, dann befindet man sich auf dem Weg in die Sucht. Das gilt für die regelmäßige Tasse Kaffee, Zigaretten und Alkohol genauso wie für Diäten oder die Einschlafmusik.
So sollte man die Regelmäßigkeiten im Tagesablauf immer mal wieder überprüfen und deren Nutzen hinterfragen, bevor sie zum Problem werden.
