Der Gastgeber und letztjährige Finalist aus Anröchte präsentierte sich als der erwartet schwere Gegner. Zusätzlich fand unsere Alte Herren zu keiner Zeit zu Ihrem guten Spiel wie noch im Achtelfinale gegen Sönnern. Es entwickelte sich aber dennoch ein spannendes und kampfbetontes Spiel. Anröchte ging mit 1:0 in Führung. Den Ausgleich erzielte Thomas Unterhalt mit einem direkt verwandelten Freistoß. Hätte der Schiedsrichter nach einem Foul im Strafraum an Reinhard Otte nicht auf Schwalbe sondern auf Elfmeter entschieden, wer weiß wie das Spiel sich entwickelt hätte. Durch zwei Kontertore ging Anröchte schließlich mit 3:1 in Führung. Jedoch Mario Dreier machte den Anschlußtreffer und es stand 3:2. Nach zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Attacken gegen Reinhard Otte revanchierte sich dieser mit einem „Schubser“, den der nicht immer konsequent durchgreifende Schiri mit der roten Karte ahndete. Trotz Unterzahl war in den letzten 5 Minuten durchaus noch die Möglichkeit zum Ausgleich. Aber es sollte leider nicht sein. Also – Auf eine Neues im nächsten Jahr.
